A wonderful night of creative and experimental Avant -Garde  delving into the inner mysteries and esoteric aesthetics of Spiritual Jazz

Cat Toren’s HUMAN KIND is an original music project by Vancouver-born New York-based, JUNO award winning pianist Cat Toren. The music is inspired by both the free form jazz of the 1960’s and a personal expression of the resurgent civil rights movement that is upon us. Jazz, being music of expression and of the people, has a legacy of standing up for these issues. HUMAN KIND channels the likes of Alice Coltrane and her contemporaries, blending the past with the current both musically and politically
