Top notch string sounds from Baltimore and NC!

Salmon Graveyard consists of some of Baltimore’s finest – Corey Thuro on mandolin, John Hoegberb on bass, Alani Sugar on fiddle, and Nate Nelson on drums.  This “all star band” plays “ecstatic minimalist country music” but if you need assistance imagining that, start with a touch of the Theatre of Eternal Music, continue into a bit of Henry Flynt’s “celestial hillbilly music” and finish off with a bit of the Tony Conrad/Faust album.

Visiting from NC – Liam Grant is a very gifted young guitarist working in “american primitive” styles ala Bishop, Rose and (not american) Tetuzi Akiyama.  On this special occasion he’ll be joined by banjoist Grayson Mcquire.

Rounding off the evening is the Red Room debut of Mink, aka the polyrhythmic harp of Mickey Lusk.
