Moth Cock perform a strain of improvised music that bridges the chasm between the free-jazz tradition and the noise underground. The duo processes live clarinet and trumpet through rudimentary effects into damaged squalls of electronic chaos set to mutated rhythms. Their unique performance tactics yield unforgettable live performances that have been documented on the grooves and spools of an increasing number of physical objects since their formation in 2009 – on labels like I Just Live Here, Human Conduct, Pizza Night, Cylindrical Habitat Modules, Tusco/Embassy, and Doug’s own Fairchild Tapes. Doug and Pat live in Kent, OH.

Marnie Ellen is a video artist, animator, and filmmaker living and working in Baltimore, Maryland. Marnie Ellen’s animations and films have screened nationally and internationally in festivals, and most recently as a traveling video installation in hotel rooms around the world. She founded and produced collaborative works through Dream Throat Productions for the past three years as well as actively participated in the fields of research and clinical psychology where she was able to present and publish on her research and clinical experiences. This dichotomy of science and film directly informs her video exploration today. She currently produces video that act as cinematic platforms for exploration of interpersonal relationships, human connectivity, and interpretive storytelling through symbols, sound, and animation

Will Schorre is a baltimore based instrument designer and founder of  Lorre-Mill a company dealing in synthesizer products and synthesizer-craft knowledge. His flagship product is called the Double Knot  an all analog synthesizer which is both sequencer and voice. It can be thought of as something of an indeterministic “groovebox”. A stereo instrument with two identical voices that can give different rhythms, melodies or cross timbral slaps. The idea of this instrument is to invite reconciliation of linear and nonlinear systems, and to encourage the building of multiple-feedback synthesis architectures. Will performs using the Double Knot and homemade electronics.

Piss Kills Mold is Jimmy Joe Roche’s solo noise project. He will be performing on modular synth and Cocoquantus.  Roche is an interdisciplinary artist whose work encompasses video, sculpture, and performance. Video screenings include the Royal Academy of Arts in London, Boston Institute of Contemporary Art, J. Paul Getty Museum, and Museum of the Moving Image. Roche has had five solo exhibitions in New York, Texas, and Colorado. His artwork is in the permanent collection at the the Baltimore Museum of Art. Roche has created commissioned work for Dazed and Confused Magazine, Incubate Arts Festival and Harvestworks. He runs the cassette tape label Ultraviolet Light and is a member of the High Zero Collective. Roche is a professor of Film and Media at Johns Hopkins University.

Since September 2016, Le Creuset is the project of Cleveland based sonic and visual artists Matthew Gallagher and Jake Johnson. Based on the engineering of new formulas for generative audio processing, metaphysical communication and psychoacoustics, Le Creuset utilizes extended techniques in sampling and field recording to produce complex “living” sonic environments. Live and recorded performances have been described as “time dilating,” “pure drugs music,” and “shit that would make Pierre Schaeffer happy.” A self-titled 12″ record is available this spring on Gallagher’s R&D recordings and contains excerpted material from over 45 hours of recorded live performances, residencies and practice sessions.
