Come celebrate unconstrained creativity at the Red Room with Neil Feather, composer and instrument inventor, and Bella and Tom Rohrer, a duo from Brazil.

Neil Feather will present VIBROWHEELS GALORE! A vibrowheel is a flywheel mounted with multiple vibrating motors that spin past sets of guitar pickups to create throbbing rhythms and Doppler effects. There will be five vibrowheels hand-spun and mixed into 8 channels.  Plus a magnapooter and a cocolina.

Bella and Tom Rohrer hail from Brazil. They explore the conceptual and cacophonous through collaboration, various instruments, and diverse performing styles.

BELLA is a sound artist/musician from Brazil that often works with interdisciplinary fields and collaborative works. She develops projects, performances and recordings exploring the relations between physical and conceptual aspects of matter and sound. Has three albums released by the label Seminal Records and pieces taking part of compilations like hy brazil vol.10, feminoise latinoamerica and verdure engraved. She also takes part of meteoro, a group formed by her, Anais-karenin and Juliana Borzino.

TOM ROHRER was born in Switzerland and lives in Sao Paulo, Brazil since 1995. His work with rabeca (brazilian fiddle) and soprano saxophone
has a primary focus on free improvisation, but can also be found in dialogue with traditional Brazilian music. Integrates the brazilian collective of improvisation Abaetetuba and is part of Black Cube SP and other projects around Rob Mazurek. He collaborates with musicians such as Celio Barros, Philip Somervell, Marcio Mattos, Bella, Mauricio Takara, John Russell, Terry Day, Javier Carmona, Ute Wassermann, Michael Vorfeld, Audrey Chen, Sabu Toyozumi, John Edwards, Phil Minton. Ongoing work with dancer Marina Tenorio. With rabeca master Nelson da Rabeca he has a project that pairs traditional music from brazilians northeast with free improvisation. He also performs musical interaction works with cinema, theater, dance, performance and installation.
