After Now: Nothing you've heard before. -- July 21, 2007

Saturday, July 21st, 2007 -- 6.0000

After Now: Nothing you've heard before.

The inaugural concert of the After Now series, a new quarterly event that presents entirely new compositions at each performance.

Composers for this concert include Samuel Burt, Andrew Cole, Mark Lackey, and C.R. Kasprzyk; for a full list of all persons involved, see the link below.

After Now's composers highlight the diversity and maturity of musical thought propagating from the Peabody Institute. The composers bring a wealth of musical influences hailing from regions as diverse as Maine and India. Facing post-graduate realities as they began to explore careers as professional musicians, the united together to seek a dependable outlet of expression. Their conservatory training was liberal enough to let them keep their strong identities but forged a sense of craftsmanship which will be highly evident in their new series.
