Carver Audain, Henry Till, Feather/Hayleck/Pancake trio
This is a first Red Room performance for two very interesting experimental musicians. Carver Audain's music involves spontaneous composition based on alternate tunings, improvisatonal while maintaining cohesion based on melody, harmonics, and overtones. At times sparse and slow, at other times fast and drone filled, it is fluid with a likeness to qcean currents, calm and fierce.
Henry Till is an electronic musician currently residing in New York City. He plays synthesizer, vocals, and electronics in SQUAW, a two-piece noise ensemble, and also plays modified air organ in an electroacoustic duo with Hans Tammen. Tonight he will be performing material from his new project involving tape manipulation within deliberate structures.
Also performing, great Baltimore improvisors Neil feather (inventions), Andy Hayleck (inventions), and Catherine Pancake (percussion).
