Alex Pelchat is a guitarist based out of Montréal, Québec. He plays solo as well as with projects such as math rock duo *Shining Wizard*, experimental rock trio Jugular Methot and jazz quartet Shortest Longest Day. His approach to performance is influenced by the sensibility of Albert Ayler, the energy of Arto Lindsay and the unruliness of Peter Saul.

Susan Alcorn is a Baltimore, Maryland-based composer and musician who has received international recognition as an innovator of the pedal steel guitar, an instrument whose sound is commonly associated with country and western music. Alcorn has absorbed the technique of C&W pedal steel playing and refined it to a virtuosic level. Her original music reveals the influence of free jazz, avant-garde classical music, Indian ragas, Indigenous traditions, and other musics of the world. The UK Guardian describes her music as “beautiful, glassy and liquid, however far she strays from pulse and conventional harmony.”
In addition to frequent tours throughout North America and Europe, Susan has performed in the UK at the London Festival of Experimental Music, the On The Outside Festival in Newcastle, and the Glasgow Improvisors Orchestra Improvisation Festival; in France at the Musique Action Festival in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, Ateliers Tampon and Instants Chavires in Paris; in Germany at the Leipzig JazzTage and with the ICI Ensemble in Munich; The Stone, CBGBs, and Issue Project Room in New York; Il Continiere in Rome; and at Arsenic and Cave 12 in Switzerland.
Though mostly a solo performer, she has collaborated with numerous artists including Pauline Oliveros, Eugene Chadbourne., the late Peter Kowald, Chris Cutler, Fred Frith, Maggie Nicols, Joe Giardullo, Joe McPhee, Mike Cooper, Lê Quan Ninh, Ellen Fullman, Evan Parker, Ellery Eskelin, Michael Formanek, and John Butcher.

Paddling around with piano and clarinet as a youth, Jenny Moon Tucker found herself as a college sophomore with a Minitmoog (not sic), a record player that could go 16 RPM, and a four-track tape recorder. After making certain sonic realizations, she soon met some comrades in the Washington DC area, proceeding to record, tour, and release a dozen LPs with Twilight Memories of the Three Suns. Shuffling around the eastern coast of USA and inland to Atlanta, she collaborated with folks young and old, noise and jazz veterans alike. Marshall Allen told her to always follow her dreams and take care of the internal conflicts before the external, Jack Wright told her he was perplexed by the way she hit the keys a way he hadn’t seen before. Settling in Baltimore a few years ago she now makes jam and paints pictures for a living, while allowing music and improvisation to guide her along in life, in hopes of bringing the infinite healing light to more humans who need it. Jenny Moon Tucker plays C-Melody Tenor and Alto Saxophones, and anything else that could possibly make a sound. She performs and records by herself, with her partner as Pony Moon, and in various collaborations in the Baltimore and DC area.

Margaret Rorison is a curator and filmmaker from Baltimore, Maryland. Her works often develop from explorations through rural and urban landscapes, combining language, sound and imagery to create installations, films and live 16mm projections. She is interested in the visceral nature of experience and the potentials of storytelling through the use of 16mm projection and sound, often sharing bills and collaborating with sound artists to explore new ways in which the image and machine can converse with sound and performance.
Rorison is the recipient of a 2016 Rubys Artist Project Grants in media and performing arts, a recipient of The Maryland State Arts Council 2016 Individual Artist Awards and 2015 Sondheim Semi-finalist. She was awarded a 2015 Grit Fund Grant in addition to a 2012 and 2014 Launch Artists in Baltimore Grant to start a new experimental film series, Sight Unseen which has been running since 2012.
Rorison’s work has screened at Anthology Film Archives, Ann Arbor Film Festival, CROSSROADS, Edinburgh International Film Festival, FYLKINGEN (SE); Images Festival, The Maryland Film Festival, Mono No Aware VI & VII, Microscope Gallery & The Moscow Museum of Modern Art.
She has projected her work in various improvisational settings, including, The High Zero Festival, Sonic Circuits Festival and The Philadelphia Free Form Festival.
